Andrew Barrella

Andrew has always shown a great interest in music. Exposed to a wide range of musical styles from all over the world he showed an interest in Ethnomusicology (study of world music in culture) from an early age. This interest in music was expanded in High School where he played saxophone in Jazz, Concert, Marching, Jam Sessions, and Pit Bands for Musicals. Andrew led his High School's marching band as its first ever award winning Drum Major. It was during this period that Andrew realized that he wanted to devote his life to music. He began to study sound engineering and took classes at Expression College of Arts in Emeryville and then completed a degree in Music Industry Studies at Diablo Valley College. As of 2016 Andrew was accepted to the competitive “Recording Arts Program” at CSU Chico and is currently there completing his Bachelor’s degree in said subject. With a love for writing music, Andrew spends all his free time  composing new pieces and working on new projects. However it is not just composing that he enjoys, Andrew also has experience in sound design, foley, sound engineering and mixing. In 2016 he created "Zephy Sounds" a way for him to share his skillset with anyone who might need them for their projects or business ventures.
